LSU Global Game Jam 2017, a Huge Success
January 23, 2017
Louisiana State University
Global Game Jam is a Wrap! We had 67 participants that included LSU students, high school students, professionals and amateurs from around the state and as far as Mississippi. They created 13 games and we awarded prizes for three teams. Congratuations to the teams that made Dark Maze, Full Spectrum Witch, Journey to Enlightenment and Tsunami Island. I also want to conratulate all the teams for taking part and learning a new skill. If you want to play any of their games, you can download them from LSU's Global Game Jam site.
The 2017 Game Jam broke all records with over 36,000 particpants, 95 countries and over 7,000 games made. I want to thank all of the folks at the Center for Computation and Technology who made this possible as well as Electronic Arts, High Voltage Software and Gameloft. We appriciated all of the help that you put forward for this event.
